My Story

Hi, I’m Christy Howell — a proud Colorado native, BBQ enthusiast, and the creator and owner of Girls Gone Grillin’ LLC. My passion? Crafting bold, flavor-packed BBQ sauces, rubs, and seasonings that win banners and bring people together.
I started my BBQ journey back in 2017, and never looked back. In 2024, I formed my all-girl backyard competition team — and that’s when things really started heating up.

In 2024, after years of perfecting my recipes and proving them on the backyard competition circuit, I decided it was time to bottle the flavor. Today, Girls Gone Grillin’ is proud to offer award-winning rubs, seasonings, and sauces straight from my smoker, grill or oven to your table.

Lakeviews and BBQs was a blast!

Our very first organized BBQ competition was a huge success, and we’re still smiling (and maybe still sweating) from the 100+ degree heat!

Massive thanks to our amazing volunteers, judges, and all the incredible teams who toughed it out and made the day unforgettable. Between team meetings, volunteer coordination, and judges' huddles, it was hectic—but Girls Gone Grillin’ made it happen!

Not only did we help run the show, we competed too—taking 2nd in Brisket and finishing 5th overall!

We’re already fired up for next year. See you then!
